The Challenge
Highland Journeys is a premium, private tour company run by Nicola Fraser, a local expert with over 15 years of experience showcasing the magic of Aberdeenshire and Royal Deeside. Offering bespoke shore excursions, self-drive routes, and private castle and whisky tours, the company caters to an international clientele seeking authentic, tailored Scottish adventures.
In the high-end travel sector, a website cannot simply list itineraries; it must instantly transport the user. Highland Journeys needed a digital storefront that captured the emotional pull of the Scottish Highlands—the dramatic ruins of Dunnottar Castle, the wild landscapes of the Cairngorms, and the exclusivity of a private guide. Furthermore, they needed this visually rich site to function as a powerful lead generation tool, converting international browsers into booked clients through a seamless enquiry process.
Our Solution
We developed a stunning, image-forward Squarespace website that acts as a digital gateway to the Highlands. We stripped away digital clutter, allowing high-resolution photography of Scottish scenery and historic castles to dominate the user experience, instantly building the desire to travel.
To drive high-quality lead generation, we structured the site around clear, distinct tour packages (such as the "Royal Deeside & Balmoral Castle Tour" and "Bespoke Vacation Planning"). Each package acts as a mini-case study, detailing the unique experiences offered and guiding the user toward a streamlined, frictionless enquiry form. We also integrated a "Travel Diary" blog and live Instagram feed, providing an automated way for Nicola to showcase her latest tours, share local insights, and build a deep, personal connection with potential clients before they even reach out.
