The Challenge

Stairlifts Scotland Ltd has been a trusted provider of mobility and specialist care equipment across the central belt for decades. They had severely outgrown their legacy WordPress website, which had become clunky, difficult to update, and required constant maintenance. However, their product catalog is highly complex, ranging from bespoke curved stairlifts to bariatric care equipment and paediatric slings. The biggest risk of the project was the technical transition. They had built up years of highly valuable Google search history. Migrating over 130 complex product URLs to a brand new platform architecture risked 404 errors and a massive drop in organic traffic if the technical SEO wasn't handled properly.

Our Solution

We migrated their entire digital presence to Squarespace. Behind the scenes, we engineered a technical migration. We mapped and deployed a strict 301 redirect strategy for over 130 legacy URLs, tracking down hidden, broken code characters from the old site to ensure zero dead ends for search engines. We also overhauled their legal pages for strict UK GDPR compliance and integrated Google Analytics 4 for advanced user tracking.
